Floating ball trap selection method:
According to the highest working pressure and maximum working temperature of the steam equipment, determine the nominal pressure of the steam trap and the material of the valve body; determine the connection mode and installation method of the steam trap.
The nominal pressure of the steam trap is generally divided into: 0.6Mpa, 1.0Mpa, 2.0Mpa, 0.6Mpa, 2.5Mpa, 4.0Mpa, 5.0Mpa. When selected, the nominal pressure of the steam trap should not be lower than the maximum working pressure of the steam equipment.
At the same time, the material of the valve body is selected according to the nominal pressure of the steam trap, the maximum working temperature, the installation environment, and the like. The nominal pressure is ≤1.0Mpa, cast iron or carbon cast steel is used; the nominal pressure is >1.0Mpa, and carbon cast steel or alloy cast steel is used.The maximum operating temperature of the steam trap is determined by the steam used in the steam-using equipment and should not be lower than the temperature at which the steam is used.
The steam trap is available in both horizontal and vertical installations and is determined by the connection location of the line to the steam trap. The connection of the steam trap is threaded, flanged, welded, clamped, etc., which must be determined according to the maximum working pressure of the steam trap, the maximum working temperature and the corresponding connection requirements of the steam equipment.
