Introduction:
The float always floats on the water, and as the water rises, the float also rises. As the drift rises, the connecting rod also rises. The connecting rod is connected to the valve at the other end. When it rises to a certain position, the connecting rod supports the rubber piston pad to close the water source. When the water level drops, the float also drops, and the connecting rod drives the piston pad to open.

Maintenance should consist of inspection to see that the float is free to move and coated with any substance , which would change its weight or volume significantly. IF this occurs, this float should be cleaned .This is easily accomplished without disturbing the installation . In addition , the stem may be wiped down to remove any buildup.The only repair possible in the field is replacement of either the float or stem . Dents or nicks on the float are usually of no consequence to operation.
