National Standard Stainless Steel Difficult Drawing Parts For Bucket Trap

Description:
The inside of the inverted bucket type trap is an inverted bucket for the liquid level sensitive component, the bucket opening is downward, and the inverted bucket connecting the lever drives the valve core opening and closing valve. The inverted bucket type trap can discharge air, is not afraid of water hammer, and has good anti-fouling performance.

Advantages of inverted bucket steam trap
1. The inverted bucket type steam trap can resist high pressure and water hammer. It can be used in superheated steam systems after the addition of an inlet plus check valve.
2, the failure mode is usually normally open, the application of this feature is relatively safe, such as steam turbine hydrophobic.
Disadvantages of inverted bucket steam traps:
1. The small hole at the top of the inverted bucket is very small, so the air discharge speed will be very slow, and the hole can not be too large, otherwise the steam will escape through this small hole in normal operation.
2. There must be enough water inside the valve body to form a water seal on the lower edge of the inverted bucket. If the water seal is lost, the steam will be discharged directly through the valve outlet. In applications, such things often happen: a sudden drop in steam pressure causes some of the condensate inside the valve body to flash into steam, the inverted bucket loses its buoyancy and sinks, and the steam leaks through the outlet until sufficient condensate enters the trap. Re-form the water seal to prevent steam leakage.
3. If the inverted bucket type trap is applied to equipment with large pressure fluctuations, a check valve should be installed at the inlet of the front of the trap. The steam and water can flow freely in the direction indicated. Due to the function of the check valve, There may be a backflow.
4. Higher superheated steam temperatures may also cause the inverted bucket trap to lose its water seal. Under these conditions, a check valve is also installed in front of the trap. Some inverted bucket traps are fitted with a built-in check valve as standard.
5. The inverted bucket type trap is exposed to the external environment. If the temperature is below zero degrees Celsius, it may be damaged by freezing. As with other mechanical traps, insulation is required.
6. If the environmental conditions are not very harsh, proper insulation can solve the problem, but if you can expect the ambient temperature to be low, consider using other more robust traps. If the main pipe is hydrophobic, a thermodynamic steam trap will be preferred.
